Introduction

The following policy sets out how First Aid For Life aim to assess/evaluate what we do on a yearly basis.

Authorisation

Overall responsibility for self-assessment is maintained by Pat Reid. In order to ensure that all our stakeholders are receiving the best possible service First Aid For Life aim to hold a self-assessment/evaluation session on an annual basis.
We aim to hold this session every October.

Policy/ Procedure

  • Senior faculty members will attend a meeting chaired by Pat Reid. During the meeting we will conduct a:

    • revision of company procedures for faculty

    • review the previous year’s faculty performance.

    • evaluate exam results to look for areas for improvement in our

      performance.

    • peer review on performance

    • review course evaluation and stakeholder evaluation forms and make

any adjustments to course content or processes if necessary.

  • All other faculty will be apprised of any changes arising from the senior faculty review.

This will ensure that we are engaging with all faculty associated with FAFL and ensuring the standardisation of approach. It will also ensure that we are asking the appropriate questions and not just the questions that will give an answer that we would like.

We will also designate an experienced person to carry external evaluation on a yearly basis.
